It is human nature to be wanted and understood. This is true but what happens when we overload on megapixels and terabytes of information ? Not only does it mess with our eyes over the years to come but we are not close as we thought we should be.
Everywhere you go, you witness gatherings of people stuck to their screens.

Lets face it, the Facebook and Instagram algorithm sucks.

I see the same fifteen people on my newsfeed; even when I change the same figuration by clicking on different friend-profiles.

The level of politics and social systemic issues kept peeking their ugly heads through every app. On Instagram, I started comparing my life to others even though I knooooow that many of those stories are fake- they don`t show the crappy sides of their lives. Also, I wasn`t writing at all!

Screen addiction is real- The first three days I kept picking up my phone to check phantom updates of notifications. Then , I found myself having extra time in between work hours. The second three days I started to develop a new routine, meditating more, remembering to take my vitamins and spending more time with family.

Significantly, the last two days I have just been relieved of the monotony of social media although I do miss talking to my friends daily and creating new ideas for art work.

In the meantime; moderation is key when it comes to managing social media and emotional health.
